walking the inward road

After returning from the road to Santiago, pilgrims may choose to walk the Inward Road – an inner journey where they seek spiritual insight and self-reflection.  During the pandemic, I returned to my 2018 Camino Francés experience to explore my own Inward Road.  I discovered that I could use art and creativity to reveal the personal meaning and spiritual purpose of my pilgrimage.  Through creative arrangement of compositional elements, I was able to render my vision of the Camino as a personal mythology, expressed through narratives and images.

liminal
out on some borderline some mark of in between I lay down golden, in time and woke up vanishing
plants, birds, rocks and things
on the first part of the journey i was looking at all the life there were plants and birds and rocks and things there was sand and hills and rings
había una vez
once upon a time -- illuminating forgotten places
castillos en el aire - castles in the sand
castles made of sand are beautiful things that are destined to end
anima rising
queen of queens wash my guilt of eden wash and balance me
acts of contrition
i believe in the kingdom come then all the colors will bleed into one
